About me…

About me… hmmm… Well, my name is Daniel Hoover, and I am currently 26 years old as I type this. Aviation has been my passion for most of my life. It all started around age 6 or 7 when my Dad took me to my first airshow. From that day on, I knew I belonged in the air.

If I could do it all over again, I would have listened to my parents, done better in school, went to college, and joined the Navy to be a fighter pilot. Every kids dream. But life took me down a different path. As a young and easily influenced kid I swayed from what I SHOULD do to what I WANT to do… which typically is a short term thing at a young age.

So here I am. I work for an Environmental Company, I currently hold a Private Pilot License (here I am on that glorious day):

I also earned my Instrument Rating in the hot part of 2007. I have 225.1 hours to date, 6 of those being in an RV-6A. Those were probably some of the most expensive 6 hours I have spent in my life (considering this project will cost $60,000+ by the time I’m done). My dream is to somehow, someway, land a great corporate pilot job knocking down some heavy cash. (Yes, I know the odds are against me). Somehow this all ties in to me wanting to build this RV-7A. I know I want to fly, and I know I want to be wealthy someday. The two are typically incompatable, but Im stubborn and hard headed.

Anyways, this website is designed to document the process of building my own airplane… an RV-7A…
